Yusavage Family Chiropractic, P.C. believes in the value of chiropractic care for you and your family and have introduced a pricing structure that allows care for all budgets. For patients who have insurance, or for patients that have little or no chiropractic insurance coverage, we provide flexible payment programs that are usually less or equal to your co-pays. One question we get a lot is, "Why don't you take my insurance?"
The main reason is to be able to give people choices based on what THEY want out of chiropractic care. Chiropractors that process insurance and take care of symptoms and disease processes are required to bill for these types of problems and can NOT reduce their fees if patients pay out of pocket. That is called having a double fee schedule and it is not allowed. Also, we wanted to be completely compliant with insurance and state laws along with being able to help our patients access chiropractic care as often as THEY wanted. Not when their insurance tells them its okay.
With the release of our newest program, "NAME YOUR OWN FEE", patients with insurance or patients with no insurance or no chiropractic insurance coverage have the ability to use our flexible payment programs. Our patients pay directly for care because of the ability to choose what they can afford and what they need. NOT what their insurance company tells them they need! They soon discover chiropractic at Yusavage Family Chiropractic to be extremely cost-effective and affordable.
When we released our “NAME YOUR OWN FEE” program a few weeks ago to the office we wanted to give several different options for chiropractic care. We felt this was necessary to give patients the option to come in when THEY wanted to or when THEY felt THEY needed to without someone telling them they did or did not need care. We offer many different types of payment arrangements. .
Why don’t you take/process/accept insurance?
We don’t accept insurance for many reasons but some of them are as follows. Insurance does NOT take into consideration a patient’s needs. It’s a policy and depending on the coverage provided you may not be able to receive valuable care that you need because your insurance deems it unnecessary. Also, we were frustrated with seeing people go without care because they lacked coverage or that their deductible or copay was so high they couldn’t afford to use it even if they have coverage to begin with! With insurance you need to pay someone just to process and chase the insurance companies and this is expensive! This leads to increased prices and less care for the patient and we were determined to decrease prices and increase care for the patients. When we severed the ties we had with insurance we were able to reduce our fees and allow ALL patients the ability to afford care whether they had insurance or not.
